The Caffmos Plaza and Instant Messenger Help & Information

Welcome to The Caffmos help section for information on the Caffmos Plaza and the "iChat" (Instant Messenger Facility). Both facilities require Macromedia Flash so make sure you have Macromedia Flash installed on your system. THE CAFFMOS PLAZA - webcam compatible

On entering the Plaza your first port of call is the Lobby. Customise the room to your own taste and requirements by checking or unchecking the options available. Video, Audio, etc. These can be changed at any time.

• By checking or unchecking the Video Box, you can regulate your webcams broadcast.
  
• By checking or unchecking the audio Box, you can regulate audio broadcasting.
  
• Double (left) click username in the userlist to view Caffmos profile.
  (Pop-ups windows need to be enabled/allowed)
  
• To private message a member - highlight username and click on the "Pvt Chat" button.
• To ignore and block some from messaging you, highlight the person in the userlist and then click the button to the right of the underlign tab in the Chat Box's tool bar.
  
• To view a member's webcam - hightlight username and click the "view cam" button.
  
• Single (right) click on image offers option for 'zoom'
  
• Single (right) click anywhere on page offers Macromedia options such as settings, etc.
  
  Supporting (Gold) members have a few extra facilities:
  
• Gold members have unrestricted viewing of four(4) to seven(7) webcam windows, depending on monitr resolution.
  
• Gold members can create private rooms, via the Create button.
  (This facility offers a completely private and confidential enviromnent)

To enable Caffmos to offer such a facility as the Caffmos Plaza to all members without extra charge, Caffmos may need to restrict the 'Streaming' bandwidth within public areas. There will be no such restrictions within private areas created by Gold members.

INSTANT MESSENGER - 'iChat'

The Instant Messenger (iChat) has been disabled from the new formatted site.
It has been found that many security suites (ZoneAlarm, Norton's, etc) now include 'anti-phishing/Spyware' programes which can conflict with Flash functionality. This conflict causes slowness or locking/freezing of your PC after login. We are looking at alternative programs and apologise for any inconvenience.
